The greatness of Ganapati Homa is to worship Lord Ganesha who is considered as an image of Om. It is the custom of the Hindu culture to start any Homa or happy event after worshiping Lord Ganesha. The fourth day after the new moon and full moon is the Chaturthi Tithi which is most auspicious day for Lord Ganesha. The Ganapathi Homa is done on the Chaturthi Tithi days to remove all evil forces, and to get blessing for success and happiness in both professional/personal life. Lord Ganesha is worshipped with his favorites Ashta Dravya, Durva/Doob grass.
