Punyahavachanam means purifying the , this is a main ritual done on 11th day after the child birth, and when a girl child attains her puberty, and on start of new business premise. This pooja cleanses the body of impurities and evil spirits at the home/office. Lorn Varuna Bhagavan is invoked and holy water is sprinkled on the deities, and all the places in the house are cleansed from evil spirits, bad thoughts, and feelings like fear or restlessness.
