Tharpanam is one of the important rituals done for the ancestors to rest their soul in peace and to console the family members. The Tithi on when the death occurred is noted. On every new moon day and Tithi day, this ritual is performed. There is ideology in Hindu culture that after Tharpanam, the soul is rest in peace and bless the entire family. On giving Tharpanam to past three generations ancestors, the entire family is blessed by their soul.

- 5. Prasad Distribution
Note Pooja Samagries like Manjal(Haldi), Kum kum, canthanam, Coconut, Maavilai, Darbai, Kalasam, Vastram, Dhanyam, Jacket Bits, Beetle Leaves & Nuts, etc. as required for Puja will be brought by us. The Devotee has to keep house items like, Vessels, Lamp, Lamp-Oil, , Bowls, Prasadams, Plates etc
